Selena Gomez Defends ‘Best Friend’ Taylor Swift After Video of Hailey Bieber Throwing Shade
Selena Gomez defended her “best friend” Taylor Swift after a video of her throwing shade at Hailey Bieber was released. The video, which was shot during a party, shows Gomez and Bieber talking while Hailey is sitting in between them. Gomez can be seen throwing shade at the then 15-year-old Bieber, calling him a “f***ing idiot” and “a f***ing retard.”
After the video was released, Gomez took to her Twitter account to defend her friend. “I’m not going to defend her because she’s a f***ing idiot, but I’m also not going to apologize for her,” Gomez wrote. “She’s my friend and I love her.”
Gomez is not the first person to defend Taylor Swift after a video of her was released. In February, Selena Gomez’s mother, Yolanda Adams, defended her daughter after a video of her throwing shade at Justin Bieber was released. Adams wrote on Instagram, “Selena is my daughter and I love her and I’m not going to defend her because she’s a f***ing idiot, but I’m also not going to apologize for her.” #ENTERTAINMENT
