When it comes to getting into shape for his latest film, Paul Rudd had his work cut out for him. The actor recently revealed that getting ready for his role in the upcoming Marvel movie, “Quantumania,” was a lot harder than for his previous Marvel installment, “Ant-Man 2.”
In a recent interview, Rudd discussed the difficulties of preparing for the role: “I had fallen off a bit. I had slacked off,” he admitted. “I was like, ‘Holy cow, I gotta get back in shape.’” He went on to say that although he had to work harder to get his body to where it needed to be, he was enjoying the process.
While Rudd declined to reveal details about his training regimen, he did share that it was a combination of weightlifting and cardio, as well as “clean eating.” He joked that it was so difficult, he “might as well have been training for the Olympics.”
But despite the hard work, Rudd was determined to make sure he was in the best shape possible for “Quantumania.” He said he was especially motivated since he was starring in a Marvel movie and wanted to look great on screen. “I knew I had to come in and prove I could still do it,” he said.
Rudd’s commitment to getting in shape for the film is a testament to his dedication to his craft and his respect for the Marvel franchise. It looks like we can expect a fan favorite performance from him in “Quantumania.”
