Reese Witherspoon recently opened up about a hilarious reaction Mila Kunis had after seeing red carpet photos of her former boyfriend Ashton Kutcher.
The Big Little Lies star was on the press tour for her latest film, Home Again, when she recalled a conversation between herself and Kunis.
“Mila walked into a restaurant and the first thing she said was, ‘Oh my gosh, I just saw a picture of Ashton and you from the red carpet and you guys look so awkward together!'” Witherspoon recounted during an appearance on The Late Late Show.
The two actresses have both been in relationships with Kutcher in the past, as he was married to Kunis from 2015 to 2018 and was engaged to Witherspoon in the late 1990s.
While the Legally Blonde star said she was “flattered” by Kunis’ remark, she quickly learned that she should not expect a kinder reaction from her pal.
“And then she said, ‘I don’t mean that in a bad way!’ And I said, ‘No, no, I totally get it,'” Witherspoon said.
Kunis and Kutcher have since gone their separate ways, but the former That ’70s Show co-stars are on friendly terms and share two children, Wyatt and Dimitri.
